ALWAR
This is a closest place to visit in Rajsthan, from imperial Delhi. In 1771 A.D., Pratap Singh, won Alwar from Mughal and restructure it, it is surrounded by the Aravali hills, and having a unique identification, due to Sariska Van Abhyaranya, Bala-quila and Silished. Alwar is situated 163 km away from Delhi. There are many stories behind the deviation of the name Alwar. A name of city derived from the Salva tribe, which was originally Salwarpur, then Salwar, then Halwar and finally Alwar, this city is also known as Aravalpur, or city of Aravali. This district is situated in the north-east of Rajasthan.

Alwar is mainly famous for its scenic landscapes. It is also very rich in minerals, and it produce marble, granite, feldspar, copper, copper clay, barites, pyrophylite, lime stone, soap stone, quartz and dolomite. Apart from these, Alwar is also world famous for its kala Kand (Milk cake), which is especially made of milk. Alwar is also known for Ayurvedic and Unani Medicinal products.

Alwar has many attractive and historical monuments, in which there are many lakes and picturesque valley. Alwar is surrounded by Aravalli hills, and in this hill sequence, “Sariska Tiger Reserve” located. This sanctuary mainly formed for the purpose to reserve tigers, apart from this, you can see many other species, including birds and plants. There is “Banghar Fort”, which is famous as a haunted fort. It is a main attraction among tourist, but as per government order, no one allow to stay in, after sunset and before sunrise. Apart from these attractive monuments and destination, there are few more destinations and places as well to visit like “The Alwar Fort”, this fort is also renowned as Bala Quila, this fort is not open for normal visitors, to visit this fort, and everyone must take a special permission from Superintendent of police, Alwar. This fort extended in large area, in which there is a combination of many minarets and mansions, decorated in Mughal architecture style.

“Siliserh Lake” it is situated 13km away from Alwar city, it is a beautiful lake, spread in 7sq km area. This lake comes in way of Sariska Tiger reserve or sariska National Park. At the bank of this lank, a resort, named Lake Sariska Palace is situated, from where one can enjoy the view of lake. ”City Palace (Alwar)” , “ Jagannath Temple” , “Narayani Mata” , “Ajabgarh”, it is situated 21km away from Thana Ghazi, Ajabgarh is famous for temple of shri Ranghnath ji. “Bhangarh” , “Vijay Mandir Palace”, this is a temple of Sita Ram, situated 10km away from Alwar, one require a special permission to visit this temple. “jain Mandir” , “Naldeshwar”, this is a temple of Naldeshwar. “Karni Mata Temple”, “Pandupole“, this is one of the most attractive point for tourist, at this place you can find a 35 ft waterfall. “Jaysamand Lake”,“Saagar Dam”, “Barrod – Fort and Rundha” and many more. There are few rivers as well, which are popular and attract tourist, like- Sahibi River, situated at North Aravali Region, Ruparail River, situated at North Eastern Aravali Region.
